This is me
Keepin’ it real since ‘84
I grew up in Brandenburg, a small town on the Ohio River in Kentucky. I’ve always been a tomboy - enjoying the outdoors, wearing what I want, living by my own rules, questioning everything, connecting the dots people aren’t looking at. I’ve been asked countless times “can you do that?” and then I go and do it - and I do it well.
I am a designer, coach/mentor, a catalyst for change. Every step of the way I’ve been an example of composure disrupting the status quo. I connect the dots in unconventional ways to show people a new way to think, to see new possibilities for adding value and creating new things.
Currently, I’m working on what I see the future holds.
1. Teaching students & young professionals new ways of thinking and approaching this industry, to better prepare them for reality, growth, and success. Connecting with industry professionals through a written manifesto that inspires them to take action to create a sustainable fashion industry.
2. Building a new way of life through small farm living, growing, making, & sustaining. Creating initiatives to incorporate & foster regional artisans & resources. Engaging with the industry to promote circular economy technology - what I think will be the biggest step forward in revolutionizing the fashion ecosystem.
